Hey guys ( & girls…),
Heres a little update with what I’ve been up too. I was just lucky enough to be involved with the Red Bull Air Bag demo in the heart of NYC. We put on some demos for the NYC Bike Expo right before the Five Borough bike ride happened. I had an awesome time and got to talk to a bunch a really cool people just pumped on bike riding.
Enjoy the photos

I never thought I’d see the day when a mountain biker, let alone our own Adam Hauck would be doing fronties anywhere near Alphabet City… unless it was while getting jacked for his bike.

 Dude!!!

The 2013 Sea Otter was awesome… great weather, rad racing and good times with friends we haven’t seen in months or years in some cases ( Lawyer guy Chris Powell)…
With the Sea Otter’s continuing diminishment of all things Dirt Jump related and the only style jump in the entire venue was the 10′ jump in the Speed & Style course, this was the first time in over  6 years Black Market would concentrate on racing more than style events.
Here’s how the weekend went for us…

Pro Speed & Style 1st Place Barry Nobles (Edit1)
Due to the craziness of trying to do helping Suzie with the Black Market booth,  wrenching on riders bikes, practice and compete in Dual Slalom and DH, I was unable to even get to the Speed & Style course for even a lap. But my buddy, Barry Nobles needed to barrow a bike because his Airborne (regular sponsor) was set up for Dual Slalom. Barry proceeded to win qualifying and taking first overall aboard my Edit1… thanks Barry!!!

Luana Oliveira 4th Pro Women’s Dual Slalom (Killswitch)

Thanks to Brazilian phenom Luana Oliveira, this was the first time Black Market has had a rider in the Sea Otter Pro Dual Slalom Finals (A.K.A. the “Unofficial Dual Slalom World Championships”?).
Luana rode well in the short practice, qualifying 3rd overall and getting used to the fast, tight and technical Sea Otter course and dialing in her Killswitch for the Finals.

Luana crushing an unfamiliar course on an unfamiliar bike…

The Finals… the crowd was going insane and the racers were goin’ F’n FAST and Luana had her work cut out for her… The Pro Women’s Final 4 looked like this… Jill Kitner Vs. Anneke Beerten and Luana Oliveira Vs. Rachel Atherton. A couple of minor mistakes against Rachel took Luana out of the Big Final. Luana and Anneke had some close laps but Anneke would be better in the flats today…

The Pro Dual Slalom Finals always brings out the best in everyone!!! Profile Racing’s Suzy & Termite enjoy a Florida Can-O-Water, Anthony Trujillo’s not sure… and Chris “Cute Bars” Powell just wants to watch some racin’!!!

Luana & Anneke rip out of the tight 90 and into the final straight in Pro Women’s DS… On the Gas!!!

Anneke has just a bit more at the line…

Sea Otter 2013 – Pro Dual Slalom on Pinkbike

Racing in Cat 1 does not get your bike pushed or a truck to take you up between rounds in the Finals…
8 Top to Bottom laps in 45 minutes…
Can’t wait to do it again next year!!!
