I just got back from a 4 day trip to Taipei where I met with suppliers and started working on 2011 stuff. I was hanging out at the Atomlab/Corsair booth with Mike Flaherty and Pablo Tafoya most of the weekend. We didn’t show anything but I did take a few random pics of the show and my trip in general so, enjoy.
The view from my seat could not have changed more drastically in the course of a 15 hour flight than if we were to land on the moon… from the sunny warm beaches of Venice…
… to barren glacier peaks and ice fields in the middle of the ocean…
As you may or may not know by now… Adam and I have been assisting X-Fusion’s suspension guru Anthony Trujillo, in the development of the all new X-Fusion 02 RCX rear shock that will come on the Killswitch when they are released in Spring. With X-Fuision’s help we have dialed in the 02 RCX to stand up to the demands dirt jumping and slopestyle put on a shock and it’s preformed very solid.
One of our goals during Adam’s recent 2 week stay was to film a short web edit for the all new 02 RCX but thanks to a wet winter the filming didn’t happen this day but we did get some good photos shooting for an Index Ink ad.
Take a look… I can only share the throw-a-ways for now.

Index Ink shredders, Adam Hauck and Dylan Stark.
Adam enjoyed the change of scenery and weather as well as the opportunity to shovel dirt instead of snow… He and I put in roughly 8 hours of shovel time dialing in the new step-up. Now if I can catch the F’n 50 riders who keep tearing up our work.
This is the first day of my entire 30+ year riding career where I actually consistently spun 360’s over a jump and for it to have been on the Killswitch blows my mind and makes me want to ride my bike more!!!
Adam working on his levitation skills…
Dylan Stark throws a perfect tuck 3 but I missed this one… Barely.
But I didn’t miss them all…
Houston… We have a problem…
Adam hits a 1 hand no foot can as the weather rolls in again…
I was checking out the daily sites and over on ThrashBike.com Nick Brandreth had posted a few cools pics from a day of winter riding with our North East rep. Alex Price. It was a rare and welcome day above freezing and the snow’s almost gone after the 20″ that dumped a mere 2 weeks ago for Nick and Al.
Justin sent in this sick no foot can tail whip they shot the other day as the Canadian Winter is letting up. Looks Like he’s getting used to his new Mob… stay tuned for more.
A great perspective of a streeetched no foot can whip shot by Mark Zinger.
Sorry for my lack of updates but when Adam was here it was hectic… I’m starting the catch up now. So for now enjoy some more sweet photos from Justin Brantley as he lurked about the Fun Spot Jam 2 weeks ago.

Lisa Myklak not only helped organize and MC but she also took her runs in the demo showing how to hit a street spine.
I know this is pretty dope right???
Now… take into account that jim does not have a chain, sprocket or brakes…
Last week I mentioned the bike festival in Santa Cruz that Lisa was helping put together in conjunction with the California Premiere of Awesome Land… Women of Dirt Movie at the Rio Theater.
Adam and I went and rode in the demo at the new Fun Spot skatepark with other local BlkMrkt riders Jim Tharp, Jacob Hyde and of course Lisa along with about 20 other kids on bikes of all sizes.
Here’s a few pics from the day… The premiere turned out well with over 500 heads in attendance and a lot of raffle goodies!!! Hope you all had fun, we did!
The deck at the Fun Spot was crowded on Saturday
The Santa Cruz Fun Spot.
Adam Vader Jams the steep half pipe…
Adam threw down and left the crowd wondering “How the hell did he do that???” while Jim silently flowed around the park on his rigid, brakeless, chainless and sprocketless Mob looking like a pirate… I love Jim!!!
Sunny, 72 and palm trees in February… Sonia is gonna have your ass boy.
While Adam’s mom and girl Sonia are waist deep in fresh snow back in Jersey… Adam made the annual Winter break in Cali.
We’ll be heading up to Santa Cruz on Saturday for the MBOSC Bike Festival and some testing with X-Fusion’s new 02 RCX shock that will be tuned specifically for the demands of the Killswitch. But for right now we’ve been digging at the step-up and riding some local parks.
For the past couple of years a skinny blonde kid from British Columbia named Justin Wyper has been throwing down some pretty wild stuff with mixed results. Some good… some not so good but he his always entertaining and pushing his riding. Lately Justin has been stepping up his game by filming with guys like Don Hampton for the upcoming DVD release… Here We Go Again.
Black Market will be hooking Justin with frames while he receives help from his other co-sponsors: NSMB, SRAM, Fox and Avid. Here’s a look a Justin’s new ride.
