I made the trip Woodward yesterday with Chad from Index Ink to meet up with Bigelow and ride with the kids. Like I suspected… it was hot as Hell once we got there but the new taller, steeper lip on the foam pit and resi and perfectly groomed dirt jumps made it worth the impending heatstroke.
Andrew and Mama Big’s are at Woodward West training for the next 2 weeks and he’s already learned flairs… here’s a sample of yesterday’s shred sesh.

The East Coast’s most progressive bike park and mountain biking’s most successful production company have joined forces for the production of NWD 10 “Dust &Bones.”
“Being on the brink of the 10th film in the NWD series is monumental for us. We are super stoked to have Highland Mountain Bike Park to add to our world class group of sponsors.” says Derek Westerlund Freeride Entertainment’s founder.
“Highland’s approach to their park is exactly what we were looking for. They are really targeting the more advanced rider and are creating a next level bike park. Dave Smutok and his crew have been doing some really cool work and it fits perfectly with making a film at the level we do. I have always been fired up on Dave’s riding and vision for building and being innovative.

Freeride will be on location with Aaron Chase, Cameron Zink, Adam Hauck and Greg Watts in a few short days. “Uniting a power house like Freeride Entertainment with the progression and passion of Highland Mountain is a crazy enough idea, it just might work,” says Aaron Chase about the new deal.
